RO-1200 Randonneur: Muntenia Epic Tour (RO)

MUNTENIA EPIC TOUR Randonneur (METR) reprezinta un brevet de BRM1200+ din ciclismul de anduranta, organizat in Romania, de catre Randonneurs Romania si Asociatia Adevaratii VeloPrieteni Romania, sub licenta Randonneurs Mondiaux, in cadrul evenimentului RO-1200 Randonneur (eveniment care se desfasoara in anii in care in calendarul BRM1200+ nu vor fi planificate Paris-Brest-Paris si Drumul Dunarii Randonneur).

Traseul METR (https://www.strava.com/routes/2756082213942440578), in lungime de 1206 km si cu o diferenta de nivel de peste 7000 metri, si care trebuie finalizat in maximum 90 de ore, reprezinta un tur pe conturul provinciei istorice Muntenia.

Startul si sosirea sunt in capitala Romaniei, existand 15 puncte de control intermediare in localitati de pe conturul Munteniei:

Editia a II-a a evenimentului RO-1200 Randonneur, pe traseul METR, a avut loc in 6 septembrie 2021, intr-un format 100% pe cont propriu, doi ciclisti obtinand brevetul:

RO-1200 Randonneur: Muntenia Epic Tour (EN)

MUNTENIA EPIC TOUR Randonneur (METR) is one of the BRM1200+ brevet rides of endurance cycling, organized in Romania by Randonneurs Romania and Adevaratii VeloPrieteni Romania, under the Randonneurs Mondiaux license, during the event RO-1200 Randonneur.

The result will be officially validated if the brevet ride (https://www.strava.com/routes/2756082213942440578), of 1206 km length and of around 7000 m difference in terms of altitude level, will be completed within 90 hours.

The start of the 2021 edition of the RO-1200 Randonneur brevet ride has been planned for the 6th of September 2021 and it will most likely take place in a format adapted to the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, similar to the events organized in 2020. In addition to that, each participant will be 100% on his own. Both the departure and the arrival places are in Bucharest. Along the way, however, there will be 15 checkpoints which, in case the ride will be organized under the aforementioned circumstances, can also be considered to be departure and arrival places. The direction of the route, initially decided by the organizer, will nevertheless be the same and cannot be changed. These are the checkpoints:

CP12, km 796, Curtea de Arges (Master Manole’s fountain – Park)

The event will take place every year when the DANUBE RANDONNEUR ROAD  and PARIS-BREST-PARIS do not take place.
